COVID-19 RETURN TO CHURCH PROCESS
We thank God that He has seen us through what we believe to be the worst of the Corona Virus pandemic. Phase 2 of the New York State reopening process has allowed for the reopening of religious entities. We are officially opened beginning July 5, 2020, we have addressed all of the processes listed below. We are taking the following steps to keep you safe:
Preparing the Building:
- We have performed a deep cleaning of the entire church.
- Signs have been posted outside on all doors requiring a mask be worn before entering the building.
- COVID-19 Informational signs have been posted in the building.
Entering the Building
- The church will adhere to the occupancy guideline of 33% of capacity when membership is attending church services and other activities.
- We will require that "everyone" wear a mask while in the church building.
- Masks and sanitizer will be made available to everyone upon entering the church if needed.
- A "touchless" thermometer will be used to take your temperature upon entering the church building, if you have a temperature higher than 100.4 degrees, we will ask that you do not remain the church building.
- We ask that if you are sick that you do not attend church service.
- The doorkeepers will keep an account of the number of people in attendance, when capacity is reached, they will notify the Trustees and post the “Capacity Reached” sign.
Worship Service
- We ask that you call the church at 716-842-2809 to leave a message indicating that you are planning to attend Sunday Worship and other services no later than the Friday prior to the service, we are trying to be compliant with the 33% capacity guideline.
- The doors to the sanctuary will remain open to allow for ease of entry.
- We have established the recommended 6 feet social distancing by marking the chair that cannot be sat in with a yellow ribbon, however people from the same household may sit together.
- Members without a bible will be given a bible to keep, we ask that you bring the bible with you when you attend worship services.
- When participating in the Communion Service please form a single line and please use the markers have been placed on the floor that indicate the 6 feet spacing to be compliant with social distancing guidelines.
- Facebook “Live” services will still be offered.
Tithes and Offerings
- An offering basket will be placed in the front of the sanctuary to receive your offering.
- When bringing your offering forward, please use the markers have been placed on the floor that indicate the 6 feet spacing to be compliant with social distancing guidelines.
- Unfortunately, the officers will not be able to provide change so please come prepared.
- Please make sure you use the offering envelope and indicate where your offering should be applied.
- Electronic giving options such as Givelify and Cash App may be used.
- If using the Square, you must make sure you have your mask on when working with the finance committee officer.
Use of Bathroom Facilities
- Only one person will be allowed to use either the Ladies or Men’s bathroom at a time, however people from the same household may enter together.
- When entering please place the “Occupied” sign on the door and when leaving place, the “Vacant” sign on the door.
- Please use the disinfectant wipes provided to clean toilet handle, seat and sink faucets after use.
- Touchless hand sanitizer will be installed outside the Men’s and Ladies bathroom, we ask that you use it upon leaving the bathrooms.
